Prepaid Cell Phones Are Not Free

Recently, I ve noticed a pretty good amount of visitors hunting for a free prepaid cell phone online. I hate to break it to you folks, but there is not now, nor will there ever be such a beast. Cellular companies don t offer free cell phones to be nice. The main reason they do this is to get people to sign up for a plan, which usually involves a one or two year contract. Even if the cell phone they are giving away is worth three hundred dollars, they will likely get double that back just in the cost of service in a years time. They never give you something for nothing. Now, before you get too disappointed, listen up. There are benefits to purchasing your own cell phone, and even with using prepaid cellular services, the most obvious being, you actually own the phone. You can normally buy a prepaid cellular phone for under one hundred dollars, even cheaper if you get one that has been refurbished. If you have bad credit, this is going to be a whole lot cheaper than paying a hefty deposit. There are even some prepaid cellular services such as Venture mobile, that provide many of the features of a regular phone in a pay as you go platform. They even include nights and weekends. Also remember, you ll never have to pay for overages or minutes you never used. Most prepaid providers have a much longer time period for you to use the minutes you purchased. So you see, prepaid, and buying your cell phone out right isn t so bad after all. Just think, the phone is yours to keep, no contracts, and some prepaid providers will even let you use any cellular phone you have.
